“Mr. Trump declassified the memo without requesting any redactions,” reports The New York Times about the notorious memo created by Representative Devin Nunes, who serves the San Joaquin Valley in California. Nunes’s forehead is permanently worried-looking from it being shoved up Trump’s rectal canal where Nunes frequently goes in for kisses. He is the Republican chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
The memo is an accusation that senior officials at the FBI and Justice Department launched the Russian election meddling investigation with a bias favoring Democrats. Senior national security advisors and the FBI publicly urged the House Intelligence Committee to not release since it “could reveal classified sources and methods,” and upset the ongoing investigation led by Robert S. Mueller III. Mueller’s investigation team is also making cases of obstruction of justice.
It is sadly hilarious that Dumpster did not ask for redactions because we know he never reads beyond a page, if he reads at all. But he did tweet this morning (3:30 a.m.) concurrent with the memo release:
Speaking of pages, the memo that seeks to discredit the investigation mentions former Trump foreign policy campaign adviser Carter Page. If there is anyone who seems desperate to be a traitorous spy, it’s Page, with his unblinking, unhinged expression, vampire canines, and boner for any televised attention. The White House calls him a “gadfly,” which is true, confirmed by watching any interview with him, as he doesn’t shut up.
The memo tries to paint bias by saying the Steele Dossier (compiled by onetime FBI source Christopher Steele) was initially paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the campaign of Hillary Clinton. Furthermore, Nunes names various officials (most since fired or reassigned) of the Department of Justice and FBI as acting improper. Then stupidly, item 5 states George Papadopoulos triggered a counterintellingence investigation in July 2016 independent of the Steele Dossier, though Nunes does scold, with shade, about investigating agent Pete Strzok and “improper text messages with his mistress, FBI Attorney Lisa Page.” Oh, the word mistress emphasized the dirt and deceit. A word people are using to describe this memo is nothingburger.
With regard to the tweet by the POS POTUS, a not-so-veiled threat to “Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department,” he just appointed Christopher A. Wray as FBI director as replacement for James Comey. Trump fired Comey for not putting the kibosh on the Russian investigation. Does this mean he’s going to fire Jeff Sessions even though he recused himself? It is likely Dump would like to fire the steadfast Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein (a Republican nominated by George W. Bush) since he is one of the few folks mentioned in the memo still employed (at the Justice Department).
Former FBI director James Comey has been pointedly commenting on Twitter throughout this whole debacle:
Meanwhile, the Dow is plunging 500 points today. Hmmm.
